2002 | Drama
In the 1870s, Jacobina, daughter of German immigrants to southern Brazil, starts to break with both the Catholic and Lutheran churches to preach physical healing through soul cleansing. After the death of a "mucker" and two others opposing her sect, the local authorities decide to act against her and her followers.
