/ 10 | 1h 16m | Canada
2022 | Documentary
-A true ode to the French language with its many accents in Quebec (Canada), "Une histoire sur le goût de la langue" traces its unusual trajectory from the Conquest of 1759 to the present day. In addition to historians, linguists and other language enthusiasts, personalities recount pivotal events as they experienced them. A historical documentary, engaging and uncomplicated, on the linguistic journey of a people once subjugated to the British Crown and today more than ever weakened by the hegemony of the English language.
